Youth4Green Project

Youth4Green was designed as a practical Erasmus+ KA153-YOU training course for youth workers who want to translate the European Green Deal into concrete, local actions with young people. Many organisations in our network were motivated to work on climate and sustainability, but lacked simple, transferable methods and the confidence to run activities beyond awareness posts. The project addressed this gap by combining green themes with low-threshold digital practices and non-formal education methods that youth workers can replicate the week they return home.

Our overall objective was to strengthen the capacity of youth workers to design, deliver and evaluate small-scale, high-impact green initiatives with and for young people.

Our Project Activities

Developing practical skills and sustainable solutions for and with youth workers.

Digital Skills & Co-creating Resources

Emphasized easy-to-use digital practices for planning, documenting, and communication. Participants co-created a simple toolkit and short awareness videos, tangible resources ready for immediate use.

Hands-on Methods: Campaign Design & Observation

Participants developed practical skills in designing sustainability campaigns based on Green Deal themes. They also conducted structured urban observation walks, using notes and photos to connect environmental indicators with local contexts.

Interactive Methods: MUN & Forum Theatre

Engaged participants through Model United Nations simulations on environmental issues, followed by debriefs to translate insights into practice. Explored solutions interactively using Forum Theatre, building scenes from participants' real cases

Green Deal Literacy & Action Planning

We started by building practical competence in climate and environmental literacy related to the European Green Deal themes. Participants were then supported to produce a short, context-fit action plan with clear steps, enabling the shift from interest to practice.

Networking & Peer Support

Connected organisations for peer support and follow-up cooperation, with particular attention to including participants with fewer opportunities. Participants built a peer network, strengthening partnership links for future collaboration

Daily Evaluation and Activity Report

The official day-by-day report of our Youth4Green mobility. It records daily objectives, methods used (campaign design, short MUN, forum theatre, observation walk), session times, outputs, participant reflections, and links to evidence. Published as a full example of transparent reporting and quality assurance for KA1 youth worker trainings.

Empowering Leaders for a Green Tomorrow

Moving beyond awareness: Equipping youth workers to turn Green Deal themes into tangible actions with young people.
